Harmonica Workshop with Carlos DeFord Bailey
Have you ever wanted to learn to play the harmonica? Now’s your chance! Join us for a group harmonica lesson in honor of DeFord Bailey, one of early country music’s most popular performers and the genre’s first Black star. Although Bailey was a talented musician who played numerous instruments, he was best known as an expert harmonica player, earning the nickname “Harmonica Wizard” and becoming one of the most famous harmonica players in the United States during the 1930s. In this lesson, participants will blow and draw on their very own “harp” (free while supplies last).
