Charlotte Morris
Growing up outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Charlotte Morris discovered her passion for music at a young age. “I’ve been playing instruments since I could walk and singing since I could talk,” the singer/songwriter explains. As a child, her parents would take her to classical concerts and musical theatre productions, igniting a fire inside of young Charlotte’s soul. “Every family car ride was filled with folk classics, musical theatre or classical music – Joni Mitchell, Judy Collins, Simon & Garfunkel, and Peter, Paul & Mary were all the soundtracks of my childhood.” After starting violin lessons at the age of four, Charlotte taught herself how to play the guitar, piano, and more, and began taking her songwriting seriously by the age of twelve. Describing her unique style as genuine, raw and emotional music with a purpose, Charlotte takes inspiration from female story-telling artists like Delta Rae, Brandi Carlile, Sara Bareilles, and The Chicks.
